Japanese street food? Think Takoyaki.
Have you ever tried takoyaki? These delicious wheat flour balls are usually filled with diced octopus, green onion and pickled ginger and then served with mayonnaise, takoyaki sauce and bonito flakes. They are cooked in a special takoyaki pan as you can see above.
They are a great Japanese street food snack and although originally from Osaka, they can be found all over Japan nowadays. One of my seniors at work took me to a shop close to our office here in Tokyo last week and they were so tasty mashallah. It had been over a year since I last had takoyaki. I don’t think I’ll be waiting that long until my next serving!
